Abstract

The study of US-Pakistan relations is crucial for understanding the geopolitical dynamics of South Asia, especially in the context of the Afghan peace process, which has significant implications for regional stability and global security. This research examines the historical evolution of US-Pakistan relations, focusing on their impact on the efforts to establish peace in Afghanistan. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology, the study relies on a comprehensive analysis of primary and secondary sources, including official documents, scholarly articles, and case studies. The research employs content analysis to interpret diplomatic communications and historical events that have shaped the bilateral relationship. The findings reveal that periods of strong cooperation between the US and Pakistan have facilitated progress in the Afghan peace process, while periods of strained relations have often led to setbacks. The study concludes that a stable and cooperative US-Pakistan relationship is essential for the successful resolution of the Afghan conflict and the establishment of lasting peace in the region.
